Enjoy RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London from 20-24 May 2014
London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea Show is one of the greatest flower shows in the world. London is all excited that floor show is happening for five days from 20 May to May 24. It will be open from morning 8 am to night 8 pm. Advance booking of tickets is recommended as the demand for tickets is so high. Tickets can be purchased online. It has been estimated that the RHS Chelsea Flower Show attracts 1,60,000 visitors every year.
Celebration of Gardening
In terms of importance the flower show can be described as the garden or floral equivalent of Paris Fashion Week. WW-I Centenary
The Great Pavilion of the floral show will pay special homage to the veterans of the First World War. The expo garden will be featuring a wartime memorabilia with poppies and trenches. Adding solemnity to the event will be a floral display by Birmingham City Council and the Royal British Legion.
The herb garden at the show will have Beatrix Potter’s tales as its inspiration. Matt Keightley’s Hope on the Horizon display will be another noteworthy garden design drawing upon his brother’s experiences in services.
The special programme Twilight on the evening of 23 May will be memorable as an evening of light opera. That day the visitors will be welcomed by a glass of champagne and opera.
