Canary Wharf Jazz Festival: Get Ready For Jazz Fireworks
Canary Wharf Jazz Festival –London’s largest jazz festival will be taking place at Canada Square Park next month ie August. There is no better place than this to hear cool jazz music at an August weekend. The influence of soul, hip hop, gospel and good old swing jazz will set the stage on fire to make the audience enjoy this celebration of jazz to its fullest.
So, from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th August 2013 you can enjoy live jazz from stars like Soweto Kinch, YolanDa Brown, and Cuban violinist Omar Puente. Omar will perform a 10 -piece band fronted by vocalists Rene Alvarez and Yuri Moreno. All the well known world class artists and rising stars are expected to give back-to-back performances and that is free. Carleen Anderson, the American singer who performed an immaculate set at Ronnie Scott’s will come up with her Soul Trio, at the closing ceremony of the festival from 6.45pm on Sunday 18th August, as a major highlight.
Three Days of Thrill
The three days will be a celebration of innovative musical genres. The free concerts in Canada Square Park will get to see bands from all over the world and there will be something to suit every taste. Some of the most cutting edge contemporary jazz will be performed and it will also be a platform for the most promising up and coming musicians. At the jazz festival rising stars of tomorrow will be in plenty and they will be the regulars on the jazz scene in the future.
